Total body Ballerina Workout! A 45-minute dance fitness class that will both get your heart rate up and make you achieve that lean toning effect you are looking for. Gradual routine progression, building up to leg-toning exercises, 'pliés' and 'grand battement' powerful kicks that will get your heart rate up throughout. The class 'finale' incorporates mat-work with ballet-inspired excruciating stomach crunches and then a wind-down to deep stretching and a cool-down

Originally from Palermo, Italy, Ornella started her dance training at the age of 3, with Melissa Mackie of the Royal Ballet School, Lilli Russo (ballet) and Daniela Donato (contemporary). She was part of the youth dancers company at Massimo Theatre and gained work experience as dancer in Palermo Operas. She studies at The Opus Ballet Contemporary school in Florence where she had the privilege of dancing for international choreographers from around the world. After moving to London in 2014, she graduated from the West Thames College with HE Dance Course. She has collaborated with the Emmeline Cresswell Dance Company and Sketch Dance Company on multiple creative dance projects. In 2016 she taught adults ballet classes at West Thames College and recently started studying a new dance fusion of Contemporary and Capoeira classes. In 2019 she started teaching children at Ballet North School, preparing children for the IDTA exams. She is also currently studying at Royal Academy Dance where she will become qualifies to teach the RAD ballet syllabus.

What will I need for the class?

You do not need a lot of space, you do not need a barre, you can use a chair for balance to make up for a barre or even your wall. For the cool down there will be some floor stretching, so if you can put your matt on the floor or if you do not have one, do it on your carpet or put a thick bed sheet to act as a cushion to the floor surface.
